The A2G Protocol Specification is licensed under the Apache License, Version 2.0. You may obtain a copy of the license at apache.org/licenses/LICENSE-2.0. Unless required by applicable law or agreed to in writing, the specification is distributed on an “AS IS” BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OR CONDITIONS OF ANY KIND, either express or implied.

Patent Terms (RAND-Z)

FD Technologies grants a royalty-free, worldwide, non-exclusive, perpetual, and irrevocable patent license to practice the Agent-to-Game Protocol as specified in the published specification.

You may:

  • Implement the full A2G specification in software or hardware
  • Create agents, game servers, or integrations using A2G
  • Distribute A2G-compatible implementations under any license

You may not:

  • Claim ownership of the A2G protocol or specification
  • Use the A2G trademark on implementations that do not conform to the published specification
  • Sue FD Technologies for A2G-related patent infringement (license terminates and cannot be restored)
These patent terms are royalty-free and require no registration, membership, or payment.

Trademark Notice

Agent-to-Game Protocol and A2G are trademarks of FD Technologies. Use of the A2G name and trademarks is permitted in the following cases:
  • Permitted: “Built on A2G” or “A2G-compatible” when describing a conforming implementation of the published specification
  • Permitted: Referencing A2G in documentation, academic work, or technical discussion
  • Not permitted: Using the A2G name to imply endorsement by FD Technologies without authorization
  • Not permitted: Using the A2G name on implementations that do not conform to the published specification
